Job Summary and Qualifications
The Contract Coordinator is responsible for maintaining current contracts, creating new contracts, checking all HCA legal requirements, generating contractual payments.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage the overall contract and amendment process
Generate new contracts.
Review all contracts for complete/appropriate content.
Ensure compliance with legal department requirements.
Maintain and follow-upon outstanding contract issues.
Maintain contact with contractors, directors, and attorneys regarding new and existing contracts.
Prepare and submit physician payments in accordance with contractual agreements.
Monitor payment authorization in accordance with contractual agreements.
Maintain all tracking logs used for governmental compliance, internal and external audit.
Prepares valuation requests, coordinates with other hospitals as needed to obtain required information, and communicates with valuation firms for completion
Creation, implementation, and maintenance of a method of efficient approvals from each hospital administration for non-physician contracts.
Establish and maintain a filing system for all contracts
Interface and communicate with various parties and/or departments including but not limited to facility administration, department leadership, legal counsel, referral source providers, valuators, accounting, and corporate departments.
Initiate monthly reviews with facilities to discuss new and current contracts in process as well as contracts that are due for renewal.
Manage the Payment Process
Prepare and submit contractor payments in accordance with contractual agreements.
Understand and apply federal and state laws, as well as HCA policies, regarding payments to referral sources.
Recognize appropriate documentation necessary for payment and remedy in complete documentation.
Monitor payment authorization in accordance with contractual agreements.
Maintain all tracking logs used for governmental compliance, as well as for internal and external audits
KNOWLEDGE,SKILLSAND ABILITIES:
Must be able to demonstrate understanding of national patient safety initiatives by strict compliance to all safety protocols and procedures as required by both HCA and Continental Division. Must be able to communicate both verbally and in writing. Establishes and maintains good communications and guest relations with clients, healthcare providers and staff. Has a high degree of responsibility for confidential matters. Make decisions of limited capacity with high profile public. Acts as information source on organizational policies and procedures. Assists in establishing office policies and procedures and coordinates special projects and department activities. Other key attributes include: self-starter, self-confident, results-oriented, motivator of others, facilitator, effective planner, high energy level, professional appearance and attitude, and high ethical and moral standards.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Required: High School Graduate with a minimum of two years of Administrative Assistant experience
Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited Business School.
