Inside Electrical Apprentice
Inside Electrical Apprenticeship is a program that offers you the opportunity to earn wages and benefits while you learn the skills needed for a trade that can be both challenging and rewarding. You will have the chance to use your mind, as well as your physical skills, to complete work in a variety of settings with the constant opportunity to learn something new.
The apprenticeship program is comprised of two components. These components are classroom training and On-the-Job Training (OJT). The classroom portion includes classroom time from September to June, two times a week from 6 pm to 9 pm. There are also required training classes (CPR/First Aid, Fall Protection, OSHA…) and special events that may fall outside of these times. The OJT portion consists of working under the supervision of a Journeyman Wireman. Inside electrical apprentices install conduit, electrical wiring, fixtures, and electrical apparatus inside commercial buildings and in a multitude of industrial settings.
Requirements
Requirements include:
A valid Driver's License
Be a high school graduate or have a GED
Have completed Algebra 1 in HS or a post-secondary Algebra
