PROGRAM MANAGER
You will serve as a PROGRAM MANAGER (SUPV PAPM) in the CVN Program Office (PMS 378) in the Program Executive Office for Aircraft Carriers (PEO Carriers) of DPAE AIRCRAFT CARRIERS.
- You will report to the Deputy Program Manger and be responsible for leading the management effort to establish and meet aircraft carrier new construction project priorities and milestones on the waterfront related to cost, schedule and performance.
- You will lead and conduct routine on-board assessments to determine the validity of current aircraft carrier new construction status.
- You will identify and resolve technical and programmatic issues that have resulted or can result in delays and cost increases experienced in achieving operational status of shipboard systems.
- You will identify and resolve programmatic issues including but not limited to identification and facilitation of potential solutions and evaluation of technical, cost and schedule implications of each viable solution.
- You will lead the establishment and maintenance of formal and working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate projects concerning the installation, integration and transition relative to the acquisition process.
- You will assist the Program Manager in all areas of new construction aircraft carrier delivery, including but not limited to trial card management, planning for sea trials and system certifications.
- You will prepare and deliver briefings, white papers, executive summaries, and key information to support command decisions.
Requirements
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band NH-03 (GS-13 equivalent) grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: "advising and providing guidance on waterfront project priorities and milestones related to improve cost schedule and performance, new construction aircraft carrier delivery, program management, budgeting and contracting, and/or long-range planning and execution."
