Senior Tableau Dashboard Developer

Peak Performers has partnered with a Texas State Agency to assist in their search for a hybrid Senior Tableau Dashboard Developer in Austin, Tx. In this position, you will be responsible for working as part of project team interacting with Product Owners, internal/external stakeholders, application development, and other BI/Data Warehouse staff to ensure analytical dashboards needs are assessed, documented, designed, developed, and implemented. 

Major duties

• Develop and implement advanced Tableau dashboards based on functional specifications from users, groups, and/or organizations.
• Work with Product Owners, stakeholders, application development, and BI/Data Warehouse staff to assess, document, design, develop, and implement dashboard needs.
• Use advanced SQL and Python to support reporting and analytics development.
• Analyze requirements and specifications and coordinate the design and implementation of BI reports and visualizations.
• Work with business customers, managers, analysts, and subject matter experts to gather requirements and reporting strategies.
• Translate requirements into advanced database and business intelligence component designs.
• Work with relational databases and modern BI/Data Warehouse technologies.
• Address and resolve complex technical issues and provide regular status updates to management.
• Perform code reviews and follow SDLC processes.
• Prepare detailed documentation and transition knowledge to current staff.
• Present and demonstrate BI reports and visualizations to business customers and managers.
• Support cross-training and knowledge transfer to current staff.

What are we looking for?

• 5 years of experience working with advanced SQL.
• 5 years of experience in business intelligence report development and implementation in Tableau, including Tableau Prep.
• 5 years of experience with business, system, or data analysis and improvement.
• 5 years of experience with data integration, data quality, multidimensional design, and ETL tools, processes, and methodology.
• 3 years of experience with BI visualization development tools such as Qlik, Tableau, or SSRS.
• 3 years of experience with highly complex application security requirements.
• 3 years of experience with database technologies such as Oracle, DB2, and MS SQL.
• 3 years of experience working in Agile frameworks, including Kanban and Scrum.
• 2 years of experience with Python.
• 2 years of experience with TFS, Bitbucket, or Git.

• 2 years of public sector experience.
• 2 years of experience with Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Teams, Microsoft Project, Word, Visio, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Exciting Opportunity Details

• Rate: $56.00/hour

• W2 Contract

• Worksite Location: Austin, Tx 78701

• Hybrid (2-3 days in office)

• Contract Length: 1 Year with opportunity for extension
