Sewing Machine Operator
Do you live in the St. Soperton, GA area. Are you seeking a position as a skilled and detail-oriented Sewing Machine Operator position? If so, then come join our dynamic team. We are currently recruiting talent on behalf of one of our nonprofit agency partners who has a position for a Sewing Machine Operator position. This position is part of the AbilityOne Program. Candidates selected to be an AbilityOne participating employee must provide documentation verifying a qualifying significant disability, as required by U.S. AbilityOne Commission policies. WHY THIS ROLE STANDS OUT The ideal candidates will have sewing knowledge, with the ability to operate various sewing machines effectively. This role is important in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our production processes, contributing to the overall success of our operations. WORK SCHEDULE & LOCATION • Full time and Part time • Hours 10 – 40 hours per week • Location: 1036 Arch St Soperton, GA
WHAT YOU WILL DO
• Operate and maintain sewing machines to produce high-quality garments according to specifications.
• Perform garment construction tasks, including cutting, stitching, and finishing.
• Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to quality standards and make necessary adjustments.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols and best practices in manufacturing.
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment and report any issues or malfunctions promptly.
Requirements
WHAT YOU BRING
• High school diploma of GED
• 2 years’ experience in a production environment.
• Effective communication skills
• Attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
COMPENSATION
• $8.00 per hour
