Senior Data Conversion Developer

Peak Performers has partnered with a Texas State Agency to assist in their search for a remote Senior Data Conversion Developer. In this position, you will function as the primary data conversion resource, responsible for building and maintaining the ETL pipelines, conversion scripts, and reconciliation tooling 

Major duties

• Build and maintain ETL pipelines, conversion scripts, and reconciliation tooling for the RISE data migration workstream.
• Develop automated data extraction, transformation, and load processes across legacy source data and target schema.
• Implement and optimize stored procedures, views, indexes, and SQL queries to support high-volume ETL and reconciliation workflows.
• Execute source-to-target mapping and apply authorization and exclusion logic to filter ineligible, duplicate, or obsolete records.
• Support reconciliation activities, multi-environment extract/load cycles, defect resolution, and conversion monitoring across mock runs and UAT.

What are we looking for?

• 4+ years of data conversion development for large-scale pension administration system modernization, including source-to-target mapping, ETL execution, exception handling, and validation.
• 4+ years of SSIS package development and BIML scripting.
• 4+ years of SQL Server and T-SQL development, including stored procedures, views, indexing, query optimization, and execution plan analysis.
• 3+ years of C# and .NET development for automation scripts, SSIS custom components, and backend data processing logic.3+ years of legacy system data migration experience, including mock runs, UAT cycles, and production cutover activities.
• 2+ years of data reconciliation experience, including record count validation, key field comparison, exception reporting, and authorization/exclusion logic.
• Preferred experience with Azure Data Factory, PySpark, or Apache Airflow; Power BI or SSRS; dbt Core; and defect triage/root cause analysis with QA collaboration.

Exciting Opportunity Details

• Rate: $109.00/hour

• W2 Contract

• Worksite Location: Remote

• 6 month contract with opportunity for extension
